My sister, C, gave me this Crabtree and Evelyn, Rosewater Soap a couple years ago - but, I only used it recently for the first time. As the lather formed, so did sweet thoughts of my Great Aunt Lilla - who (when she lived with us) kept all sorts of rosewater sensations in her dresser drawer.
Aunt Lilla - who would have been 100 years old on March 20th of this year, was one of those women who made you feel dignified and beautiful just by being around her. When she died in 2009 I wrote this note on the back of our photo:
"One of the things I loved about Aunt Lilla was that she actually had faith and confidence in me. She treated me with dignity and respect. When I was with her, I felt beautiful and smart. She infused me with independent, competent, woman power!!"
God bless all the rosewater loving Aunt Lillas out there.
